• There are two types of refrigerated truck refrigeration units for ice cream:

    1) Independent refrigeration unit, the compartment temperature of this type of refrigeration unit can reach minus 18 degrees Celsius, which can be used to transport ice cream in most countries.

    2) Cold plate cold storage system, this kind of refrigeration equipment is more strict, and the cooling effect is better, it can reach minus 30 degrees Celsius, which can be used in Gulf countries and countries with high tropical temperatures. Such equipment is also more expensive.

    Precautions when transporting ice cream:

    1) First of all, pre-cool the vehicle before loading to ensure the temperature of the compartment; then load the vehicle, there are ventilation slots on the bottom plate, so that the cooling is more uniform; and frozen foods such as ice cream and ice cream cannot be blown away directly by the wind, otherwise they will be damaged. Take away moisture, pack in cartons, etc. Ice cream has a relatively soft texture, so it shouldn't pile up too much when loaded.

    2) When loading, do not pile the ice cream too high, and ensure that the loading height is not higher than the plane height of the air outlet. If the front end of the air outlet is blocked by the goods or is too close to the goods, it will not only affect the storage and transportation temperature of the ice cream, but also affect the normal operation of the refrigeration unit. If the air outlet is blocked by the goods, the cold air cannot circulate normally in the compartment, which will increase the local temperature of the goods.

On the other hand, the defrost design of some refrigeration units uses air intake defrost. When the goods are too close to the air outlet, the coil in the evaporator of the unit will quickly frost (or freeze), the intake switch will act immediately, and the unit will quickly enter the defrosting state; when the temperature of the coil rises to about 9 degrees (design temperature), the defrosting ends immediately. In fact, it was due to the high cargo load.

    3) The floor of refrigerated trucks adopts ventilated aluminum rail floor; but some refrigerated trucks do not have aluminum rails, but use flat non-slip floors. Usually used as a third-party transportation company or a dairy company's transportation vehicle, it uses a flat non-slip floor, which is suitable for the transportation of various products, or it is convenient to clean the floor. However, care must be taken to load with double-sided pallets to ensure the circulation of cold air from the ground. It is forbidden to stack goods directly on the flat floor.

    4) Do not stack items in front of the evaporator outlet, otherwise it will block the flow of cold air; blocking above the goods will cause a short circuit of the cold air flow. Keep a small distance of 225 mm between the top of the cargo and the roof of the vehicle.
